THE SAME THING WE DO EVERY DAY Name: Brutus Gender:-----> Male Age: 3 years, 8 months Breed: gray wolf mutation: growth - you see, Brutus never stopped growing. Instead, he keeps growing. Taller, wider. His shoulders grow broader, his muzzle longer. Just when he thinks he has grown into his skin, he grows inches taller. He wonders if he will be the size of the mountain, wide as a river. Caesar tells him otherwise. illness: Neuromuscular Disease - this makes Brutus have muscle spasms, and has been known to go through phases of paralysis. fur Color: black Eye Color: light brown Act 2; Appearance type: Brutus is as his name-sake. A brute. He is taller than most wolves and extremely tall for his species. He is heavier, and heftier and his paws are the size of dinner-plates. His coat is long and heavy, the colour of a star-less night. His eyes are set deep inside his head, and are similar in colour to light mud. His voice is loud like thunder and rumbles through the air. Although he can be quite the image, broad shoulders, large thick head and rounded ears, Brutus is not the greatest warrior out there. He is slow when it comes to agility and his strength is only useful to him when he actually manages to hit his opponent. On his neck is a large bite that has stripped away his fur and pulses a dark, deep red. Along with this infected bite came his mutation to never stop growing and with it, the disability that affects his life-style, a disease that paralyses his muscles and leaves him aching at night. Personality: Brutus has been taught to be mean, to be strong. Show no mercy to his opponent, and those are the rules he has lived by. His mind is a simple one. He does better under simpler commands and easy conversation. Large words go over his head and any scandal is easily lost on his empty noggin. He has learned to keep his mouth shut, speak only when spoken to in the company that isn't Caesar. His large mouth could get him into easy trouble and he would hate to make Caesar angry. Just as he is mean, he is protective of his only friend. Therefore, he can be quite anti-social, unknowing of how to properly deal with company and people. Besides, who would want to listen to Brutus anyway? Act 3; I MIGHT AND YOU MIGHT BUT NEITHER OF US DID AND NEITHER OF US WILL History: As the oldest, and the biggest of his litter, Brutus got more or less the most attention. He was sucked into the obedient role as his parents began to have their second and third litter and he was easily discarded and forgotten. Because of his brute strength and large size, he was praised as a warrior, obedient soldier. He was not praised on his intelligence. Easy things were easily forgotten and he found himself struggling to pronounce words and hold intellectual conversation. He was stupid, dumb. Brawn without a brain. Therefore, he was mercilessly teased to his face and behind his back. No-one really wanted to be a friend of Brutus, so he was alone with little thought. It was then he met Caesar, the David to his Goliath. Although he was extremely intelligent and rather rude, Caesar treated humanely. Like a friend. He was not forgotten in his friend's eye but rather remembered. He protected his fellow pack-member from the casted snarls and in return, Caesar helped him. He never understood the reason for experiments or the result but if made Caesar happy, then Brutus was happy too. When they crossed the border of Firea, discovered by the mutant wolves it was Brutus that saved Caesar. This came with it's price. He was cast from the pack for his infection and with the infection came his sudden and painful growth spurts. He was happy that Caesar came along, happy that Caesar was happy. But so help him if anyone makes Caesar angry.
