Name: Scatter. Gender:-----> Male. Age: Six years. Breed: Grey wolf. mutation: An extra set of eyes beside his 'normal' ones. If anything, they serve to make everything look more confusing to him, as they usually give him double vision and really mess up his depth perception. illness: Severe Photodermatitis - his skin burns when exposed to sunlight, to the point where he can't go out in it at all. fur Color: Grey. Eye Color: One set purple, one set brown. Act 2; i'm trying to get some rest. Appearance type: All in all, Scatter is not an overly intimidating wolf, unless you count the slightly maniacal grin and the crazed, constant movement of his too many eyes. He is a scrawny thing, all skin and bones with a mangy coat and rotten teeth. What fur that has not fallen off his body (like due to moments of exposure to the sun), is mainly a light grey colour, with darker fur around his face and along his back. Though he is rather strange in appearance (for what wolf would let themselves go to such an extent?), the oddest thing about Scatter must be his eyes. He has four – two on each side of his head. They are odd colours, one set being purple and the other being brown. Being small, he is in no way a fighter, though he is swift. His accuracy is most definitely not one hundred percent, though, so even if he wishes to convert more wolves in the hopes of finding someone else to share the darkness, Scatter misses more often than not. He has a constant companion in the form of a torn and tattered teddy bear, whom he has named ‘Tear’. The bear has a leg missing, and one of his eyes is close to falling off. Stuffing can be seen coming through the seams and the fur of the bear is really quite dirty – a match to the wolf who carries him. It is a wonder Tear has not completely fallen apart yet, but then, Scatter takes more care of him than he does himself. Personality: [style=text-align: justify]Years spent in the darkness have taken their toll on him. He is unpredictable in the sense that there is not a rational bone in his body – it is hard guess how he will react to any given situation, or what he will say. His thoughts are not linear, they are not easily accessible, but rather they come and go as they please; one minute he could be happily playing tag, and the next he could be trying to attack. Some things he says may not make sense to anyone else, but they do in his head. And he is paranoid, eyes constantly darting about for monsters in the shadows, aware that someone is always watching him. Scatter is not an overly aggressive wolf, but he has a desire to convert every wolf he sees (unless they’re someone special to him), because he wants someone else to share in the dark with him – he wants someone like him. That being said, if anyone threatens tear in any way, he will get angry and he will attack relentlessly until Tear is safe. Tear is Scatter’s best friend. Tear talks to him and keeps him company. He tells jokes and stories and helps Scatter when he’s lost. They are inseparable. |
Act 3; from all the unborn chicken voices in my head.
History:
Once upon a time, there was a young wolf who was afraid of the dark. It was alright, though, for he had a loving family to protect him from the looming shadows. But the darkness is unrelenting. It claimed this wolf in the form of a crazed infected.
The crazed attacked, and it was a small fortune that only Scatter had been bitten before his father was able to subdue the beast. Even through the days of merciless, all-consuming anger and pain, Scatter’s family stayed near him, helping him through it and holding him back when it was needed. Even when he regained his senses days later and screamed and yelled and cried about the burning sun and how his skin was on fire, his family stayed.
They dragged him into a cave, into the darkness. But that was no life for them. King and Luela had to make a choice. A terrible choice between the welfare of their healthy young, and the welfare of one they believed already lost. So they left. They left during the daytime, so Scatter could not follow them. He was devastated.
As he dove deeper and deeper into the darkness - into the madness – Scatter, in a rare moment of clarity, realised that he needed someone. On night, he wandered into the remains of a city. It was there that he found his companion. His friend. Tear.
